The boys where on site from 1922 to 1954, when they re-located to Brannan Lake, near Nanaimo. The last few years of their stay here seems to have been tumultuous, numerous escapes, arsons...If you have any information about BISCO please post it in the comments, or get in touch by messaging me. A lot of info on that prison, true stories, is in a book titled "sad paradise" by Britt Haggatery. Its about my dad and uncle being there etc. Britt haggatery is the main character...its about their youth. Shitty days back then in poverty, drugs and crime.
